[attr="class","ipoodle"]the fire fang hit but the sylveon was able to dodge the other. this was a tough battle. rory could see how uncomfortable cuddles was during this battle. he didn't want to hurt his friend. but at the same time cuddles was being hurt as well, which only made rory question the purpose of this battle. he would have had no problem battling if it was any other pokemon. now he regretted not bringing the other pokeballs.
"cuddles!" he grunted. the arcanine swiftly returned to his side and awaited further orders. he was hurt bad. his coat no longer fluffy like it usually was. and he found it difficult to stay standing. rory gritted his teeth. he placed one hand the arcanine's head, lowering himself to one knee to kneel beside him.
"you okay?" he whispered. the arcanine nodded and pushed his nose against rory, letting him know he was okay to battle. but rory had enough of it. he looked around and saw magma forces retreating. the other guests were more than capable of fighting back. but now he was in a bit of a situation.
he stands back up and pushes a pokeball against the arcanine, recalling him back inside. he looked over to cass and sighed. he was tired of everything. he couldn't just go with her, it'd damage his reputation as leader. so he slid his hands into his pockets and stood still.
"fuck off."
and then he waited. he waited for the attacks to come in to knock him out. that was the only way he'd go.
the room explodes into action. magma seems to be outnumbered in pokemon, and despite their strength, each of their health is being whittled down by the many trainers in the room.
cassandra cain sees this of course, and orders a retreat. many grunts are running for an exit and transporting out, although the few that are left behind fight until the end. the trainers are slowly regaining power in the room, and it's not long until every member will be gone.
objectives: • defeat magma and get out of the building.
directions: • there is no posting order. • you are encouraged to work in groups and defeat each pokemon. • no pokemon or characters will be killed unless you consent to it. • a new posting event will be up every 48 hours. • magma members may work with or against other people. • each pokemon gets 3 levels for participating • at the bottom of your post note your pokemon's levels, attack, and what pokemon they are targeting.

"Broski, you're doing just fine. Keep it up!" There was an overwhelming presence by the trainers, and despite the natural power of Magma's pokemon they were losing to sheer numbers. Soon the power struggle would be over, he noticed a few characters fleeing the scene and abandoning the conflict.
"Man, everyone's going bonkers." I can't say I blame them. Much and more had gone wrong tonight, and they were expected to lash out against these wrongdoers. Broski was busy hustling, trying to disinterest the enemies from fighting further. Even so, Powder Snow wasn't quite so effective at forcing them back.
C'mon Broski, leave their frozen husks as an example for them all! He was really proud of his pokemon for demonstrating such raw tenacity in the face of insurmountable odds. Steak dinner all around! Wait... does Broski eat steak? He had to consider it for a moment; Don't get so distracted!

"Is this really all they've got?!" Al was beginning to question why he'd ever felt the need to keep tabs on Team Magma. Their ambitions and pokemon were so tame, Sylvester alone put up a better fight. Then again, Sylvester isn't being tag-teamed by a dozen pokemon all at once. Perhaps he was giving them too much credit to begin with, and needed to lower his expectations.
"Daemond, use Ember against the Mightyena." Houndour had returned momentarily to seek his trainer's guidance once more before dutifully heading back into the fray. He considered the consequences of not retreating with the rest of their forces, however, and slipped into the background. "Attack again, and hurry back to me!"
As soon as Daemond made his final attack, he started sprinting for Al and caught up with him behind the array of trainers focusing intently on the battle ahead. His gas mask still covered his face, obscuring his true identity. Even if they saw him teleport away, there was no knowing with any certainty.
"Sayonara suckers!" And like that, he was gone without a trace. That's how you make an exit. He was back at base, where everyone was licking their wounds after the intense battling. Yet he couldn't recognize some of the faces there. Was there another battle going on elsewhere? Was that a front? He wondered if it was heading that deep; perhaps leaving had been a grave error.

Even with everything going the way it was, Sylvester began to feel as though this was one of the greatest nights in his entire life. He could feel the pulse of his heart beating in his ear, savoring every moment as Team Magma was being run out by the multitude of trainers and their pokemon alike.
"Marley, hit them again with dazzling gleam." He wasn't even yelling. In fact, Sylvster seemed the most calm out of everyone. Perhaps it was because this was what he truly wanted for awhile now? Needless to say, he wouldn't be the judge of that. Instead, he sent Marley on another routine assault towards the Houndoom and Mightyena. "Don't hold back, either. They wouldn't think twice about hurting you. Again." The Sylveon seemed to attack faster with that sentiment in mind.
Noticing many of the Magma scumbags leaving once defeated, Sylvester put his hands up in the air, the gesture obviously giving off the body language that just screamed 'Is that all you got?' Truth be told, Sylvester didn't want to stop here. He wanted to pursue them all, hit them in their back while they ran away like cowards in the wake of defeat. "This really is a joke...a bad one, at that."

"Now return my companion!" Fletch yelled out triumphantly after the peck attacks had landed. In all honestly Fletch didn't have any desire to use Fletchinder in this battle, but hey you gotta make a first impression. So why not try to make one with whats supposed to be your mascot pokemon.
Unbeknownst to him Fletch would have an advantage, if it even counted as one with how powerful the 'civilians' pokemon were, over the others in the gala. That advantage just being that he brought all of his pokemon with him instead of one, being late never paid off more! In one quick motion the masked Vigilante would put the Fletchinder's pokeball on his belt, only to then grab another ball from the utility belt and toss it out with his left hand, the staff still clutched in his right.
Once the ball hit the ground a flash of light would appear from it, only to reveal a Wooper. The Wooper having a little black mask of its own to cover its eyes like the one Fletch wore under his hooded mask. ...He honestly had no idea where Uppa had gotten the little mask from but wouldn't question it at the time.
"Now to put out the flames of their villainy! Wooper show them what righteous justice feels like! Water gun that Houndoom!" Fletch once again yelled out, pointing straight at the Lairon with his bo staff. With a loud cry of its own Wooper would open up his mouth and fire out two Water gun attacks at the Lairon. While this was going on Fletch would start to look around, for any Civilians that would need saving.
And just like that all the anger and rage Sam had thought he had gotten rid of was right back. Maybe this whole 'bitch im the emperor' power trip would be harder to get over then he thought. On the bright side he finally had something to point that anger at specifically.
That something of course being Team Magma now. You see Sam was busy slow dancing with Ai when Magma decided to attack the Gala or whatever it was they were doing. He was literally living out what was supposed to be the single most greatest day of his life aaaand then here comes Team Magma to interrupt the moment, their moment.
He'd be mentally kicking himself for bringing Natu to the gala instead of Cubone or Deino now, Natu being his weakest pokemon. Of course he wouldn't actually think that entire thing, just in case the telepathic Natu of his was checking out his mind at the moment. After all you shouldn't try to piss of something that you're about to make go attack something, what if it attacks you instead. When Magma first burst in Sam had tried to ignore them, only worrying
about making sure no harm came to Ai, he thought the other trainers had it under control. But the anger inside of him was getting to be too much now, he had to do something, he had to harm them some how for ruining this for him, for even putting Ai in a little tiny bit of danger.
"Natu..go get em."
Sam simply blurted out, the Natu flying off to go use some peck attacks on the Mightyena. Being at a disadvantage when using her only psychic attack on any of the three Magma pokemon Natu would just have to be content with using Peck on Mightyena.
Thanks to being bale to telepathically communicate with her trainer Natu would know exactly how angry Sam was, she could tell just how much he wanted to crush Magma at the moment. So when her trainer told her to 'go get em' she had to at least try something right?
While Natu was away Pecking Sam would still be standing in the same spot, arms still around Ai with his eyes locked on her still. He didn't want to take his eyes off her right now, he felt like he should, no that he HAD to keep her safe. Maybe he had a new reason for all the power he lusted for now after all.
Post by NATALIE OSWALD on Jul 19, 2015 9:43:00 GMT
she wanders out in confusion, feeling a little at loss for what to do. the whole gala is chaos. she knows that there's something going on today, but the details are vague and natalie is very, very confused. in doubt, she looks for the first person that comes to mind who hopefully has the answers.
"cass!" she calls out, just barely dodging the flurry of attacks being sent out in the crossfire. she's not too worried about the magma pokemon attacking her. as long as she's not planning to flee the building, everything's fine. nat just wishes she didn't have to be in heels for this. fuck wearing heels, to be honest. darting between the feet of partygoers is mike, the tyrunt keeping up with his running trainer.
she calls for her boss again. "cass!" it's ultimately not her long brown hair she sees, but rory, who's tall enough to be sticking out amongst the crowd. her eyes narrow when she realises it's cass he's with. she's not so much thinking of rory as person-allegedly-going-out-with-her-boss, but more along the lines of rory, person who might bring harm to her boss. "mike, go!" she points to the man with an angry look in her eyes.
mike takes it as his cue to move. the tyrunt darts through the crowd and in a similar fashion to how he's taken julius down, goes straight for rory's ankle from the back. his jaws are open wide as he tries to clamp down on the large man. "cass!" nat calls again, looking a little distressed. "w-what's going on?"
"This is pathetic." Her words were embroidered with salt as she watched the once tame ball go into a frenzy. All giving out battle cries or something of the like as her eyes glazed over to all the pokemon attacking. As her Spheal completed his attack two scizor had jumped in from either side of her to pummel the poor weakened thing further into the ground. She recognized one of them to belong to Miles though she didn't spot him anywhere nearby while the other was familiar as she heard Risu's outspoken voice screaming out as the thing evolved. Looking about the other magma pokemon were being treated the same way as the Lairon. Flashes of lights and smaller pokemon even joining in. Calling off her own pokemon from attacking further she felt disillusioned. "When Sylvester said he wanted to get stronger to take down Magma and Aqua I expected more resistance but..." the ice type cooed next to her at this line of thought not minding the scenario one bit. There was a call for a retreat which was all well and good but that didn't mean it was over.
While her mind was focused on leaving she did have to think about tonight. Why were they even here? With the pathetic showing that Magma is having they couldn't have expected to take everyone on in such a manner. After all why tell them to bring one pokemon rather than none at all? To steal with what forces they had? "That's something to think about another day," she murmured to herself. At this the Spheal actually bumped his body against Syndra's ankle with more force than would be intended to get her attention. She knew why but Syndra was reluctant to do anything but leave. "I guess you're right. I should be investigating now while everything is still here in our reach."
Sighing the female turned to walk away from the chaos to find something that could point her in the right direction. Something out of the ordinary perhaps. As Magma was running there were sights of glee rising in individuals but nothing caught her eye for now. If Abra were here then she would have had more luck tracking down suspicious individuals... or at least been able to leave whenever she wanted. Spheal having changed targets to help clear out the room of enemies Syndra was left to ponder.
Just what was team magma hoping to gain from this? From revealing themselves?

"Oh?" He'd gotten the message about this Gala some weeks ago and had chosen to attend if only for some kind of break from his mundane life. He wanted to watch people, move about and interact with each other he'd also been assigned to keep watch over the odd event as it seemed slightly suspicious to HQ, For the most part the night was relatively boring there'd been dating events slow dances, ritzy indeed but certain patrons of course always seemed to jump out of hand and draw attention to themselves.
Regardless he'd made his way through the night calm he'd forgone socializing, drinking, or anything else of the sort simply standing watch waiting for things to go awry. It was shortly after midnight when his thoughts came to fruition the man moving forward slowly now. He doesn't join the first wave of the attack ordering Lucario to read the aura's in the room the magma grunts and guests alike emotions spreading like wild fire. The pokemon read all sorts of Aura's Anger, Despair, Excitement, Pain....lot's of pain, everything flooding the Aura pokemon's senses as he searches for anything out of the ordinary. It's only then the steel type notices an aura coming from the far left. Far too prepared, too joyful for the event at hand. Pink irises are cast toward the girl sipping wine at her table laughing as people call out their pokemon doing battle.
Before he's to meet the black haired girl his priority now is releasing the patrons and so the pair move through the crowds and into the battling field eyeing a lairon guarding the door. It looked powerful but was far too weak to continue this while the other enemy pokemon had more life to them. He glances at the group of trainers attacking the Lairon, there was no point in having this many people attack the already half dead pokemon, Lucario would be more than enough to finish it off. The ranger nods on to his Lucario to jump in an deal the final blows. "Power-up Punch, into Close Combat. Meet me when you're finished."
The fighting does as asked dashing in the first technique increasing it's attack power before unleashing a deadly flurry of blows against the lairon each attack doing an almost unparalleled amount of damage to steel and rock type. The dinosaur-esque pokemon would be lucky to survive if it could even manage that. While Lucario continues its flurry of strikes the ranger turns to those attacking it. "This one is done, it'd be wise to help wrap up the others, they seem a little worse off."
With that the ranger turned away from the ensuing chaos in the direction of the only one in the room behaving so oddly, only to meet a familiar face on the way. "Syndra, you're capable. I have a theory about the ring leader behind this farce. Come with me."

Well, Syndra did say this part was going to be hot. There was chaos reflected in the eyes of the guy. Alioni stood on top of a table and looked at the Lairon in front of it. If they were going to fight, that's who he wanted to get a jab at. "Hahaha, I see!" Erick's voice boasted as he loosened his tie and and shirt, unbuttoned his vest, at pushed his sleeves back. "I guess this is what all the real fuss was about. Alioni, hit em with the Fake Out Counter shit huh?" There were other pokemon attacking this Lairon, but the tiny Tyrogue was going to get its hits in.
Alioni rushed to attempt to hit the Lairon in the eyes to make it flinch, then attempt to hit it with a counter attack by slamming into the body on the side. Erick saw some familiar faces and went over to them. The other redhead, the green-haired Syn, and that nerd Ven were all in attendance. Erick walked in from an angle and picked up the words of the dark-haired trainer. "Well shit, is there somebody for us trainers to personally fight too? This is some exciting stuff they got going on huh?" There was no helping it, the Rigioni blood was bubbling now.

Tyrogue uses Fake Out on Lairon x.5, Tyrogue uses Counter on Lairon(x4)
There was always an amount of unknown when walking about in a public setting. That said a familiar face that she had not seen since their first meeting had spotted her before she had spotted him. Exchanging glances, she wasn't going to say anything to him, but he had stopped to talk first. "Huh?" The uncertainty in her voice was present. Not that she knew where to start looking or go in the first place she decided to play along. There was nothing better to do. From the corner of her eye, she saw the once riolu she had battled but she couldn't muster a smile at his evolution into Lucario. There was happiness but with the entire night weighing down on her it was hard to do anything positive outwardly.
"Lead the way," she conceded. Truth be told if she was going to do something then might as well do it right. She loses nothing by following Ven for now and if he was right then it would answer some question. At least they'd better be able to provide the answers to the questions. Soon another person she had known came up as well. He seemed more enthused at the chaos than anyone else there and willing to beat anyone up physically. It might have been helpful and it earned some more security for herself.

■ YOU'RE ALL GOING TO DIE NOW
Currently, Fidel was fending off a rabid Mightyena for her life. Though the other trainers were well-bodied adults, her stance as a small twelve year old wasn't helping her case. At the moment, she was panicking for dear life as Magikarp did it's best to stun the Mightyena at best, the fierce dark-type ripping apart a table in an attempt to reach Fidel.[break][break]
This was a bad idea. She didn't want to die. She started breathing heavier, and there was so much noise around her, and everything was all a blur. She yelped once more as the Mightyena slammed into the table she was using for cover. She could hear Magikarp splashing; thank god, it was still alive. She was still alive thanks to Magikarp.[break][break]
Magikarp flopped over the table to her. It was... worse for wear. Bite marks and injuries were littered over it's scales, and it looked like it was fading in and out of darkness. She pulled out a Potion from her ruined sundress, spraying it over her single Pokemon. Magikarp felt better, and Fidel gave it a hug as the Mightyena slammed into the table once more.[break][break] "Magikarp... we're gonna make it, alright? We just need one last push." She said. It was hard, trying to be strong, for herself and for Magikarp. But she had to. She needed to! She wouldn't be on her adventure, if she wasn't strong! "So... we're gonna do this together!" Giving a huge grin despite her growing terror, Magikarp tentatively agreed.[break][break]
This was her moment of truth. What determined if she lived or not. Fidel gave one last, shaky breath before grabbing Magikarp and standing to her feet. She took a foot jumped over the table, looking at that Mightyena deep in it's angry, crimson eyes. Water-type in hand, she swung Magikarp like a baseball bat, hoping to hit something, anything, while she was airborne. "TACKLE!"[break][break]
And then there was light.[break][break]
Fidel looked down. Firstly, she was sitting. Secondly, she was sitting on something blue. Thirdly, she was sitting on something blue, scaly, and not the floor. Then she rose. Up, and up, towards the ceiling, and she held on for dear life. The Mightyena was forgotten, at this point, and she was simply perplexed as to what happened. Suddenly, she spotted a huge, red eye near her feet.[break][break]
The eye looked at her. She looked at the eye. She saw memories, thankfulness, and so many other emotions from a Pokemon she's never seen before. But then it clicked, and she was in a mix between joy and shock, and she couldn't breath because she was just so happy right now. Her ears were then filled with a loud, window-shattering, primal roar. [break][break]

Syndra agrees quickly only for another familiar face to appear looking for some part to play in the ranger's plan. He sighs throwing the idea around for a moment seconds later a small smirk gracing his features. "Well your head doesn't have much value, but I'm sure that lumbering body of yours could find some use." In truth Ven being the fighter he was, was more than capable to take down anyone who stood in his way, but having an extra set of hands never hurt. That and the red haired man was reminiscent of a tiger his gaze was threatening to say the least, that also was an asset.
"Well assembling a team was easier than I thought. So I'll explain the girl over there sitting at the table." he nods over to the girl sipping her wine oh so casually. "My pokemon read her aura, if it's not obvious enough with the way she's acting it's apparent she's playing some kind of role in this." He nods at the black haired girl cackling the night away. With his piece spoken the man begins toward the table his makeshift compatriots in tow a commonplace smile plastered across his face only to take a seat at the woman's table pink irises staring the woman down now directly across from her.
"Good evening." He starts, "I'm not one for small talk so I'll be forward." He places his elbow on the table leaning on it behind him the wild eyed red haired man, and the weary green haired girl. "What exactly do you have to do with this. If you lie believe it or not, I'll know." His tone was calm, but authoritative all the while no sense of a bluff in his voice. Lucario would be back momentarily ready to separate fact from fiction the trainer was certain of this.
Toki used Vaccuum punch(x2) on Lairon Technician Level 10
After watching his newly evolved Pokemon nearly defeat the Lairon he looked towards Toki he nodded and moved he could see his 'older sister' from the distance what was she doing here?! She didn't need him to protect her but he felt the need to follow after her. She was chasing some guy with a Lucario that helped defeat the Lairon it was getting ridiculous he could see the Magma members but just what are these people doing? Could they accomplish anything like this they have yet to do anything not even attempt to steal a pokemon!
Risu completely followed Syndra and opened his mouth to speak then he had immediately heard the man with the Lucario speak, what did he mean by team? He probably wasn't part of this team but felt he HAD to be there he had some things to prove here.
