THESE ARE THE DAYS
WHEN I HATE THE WORLD
HATE THE RICH, HATE THE HAPPY, HATE THE COMPLACENT. TV WATCHERS, BEER DRINKERS, THE SATISFIED ONES. BECAUSE I KNOW I CAN BE ALL THOSE LITTLE HATEFUL THINGS AND THEN I HATE MYSELF FOR REALIZING THAT. BE SAFE, BE SAFE.
All punches are attempts at hitting Noah, if none hit Darius will still walk off.
WORDS
Darius sighed, his grin faded, there he went whining again, this time just about how he said something, Darius swiftly punched at his throat. "That should make you shut up for a bit, no one cares about your whining." He muttered then took a moment to glance around at the room, everyone was clearly annoyed to some extent. "Why couldn't you just stay quiet." He said again aiming a punch at his gut. "And let people have fun." He added, he was going to finish this quickly, if the last two hits had connected he'd swiftly moved his arms around Noah's neck and leaped up into the air letting gravity bring him down with Noah's face back down slamming it against the floor.
He was finished after that all intention of fighting left his body, all he wanted to do was calm himself and leave. Darius bounced back onto his feet and looked around once more. "Fuck it." He took a cigarette from his pocket and lit it, placing it in between his lips and walked over to Andrea and Bunny. "You're her friend right?" He said to Bunny, placing Andrea up and leaning her on him. "Follow me." He commanded and then began helping Andrea out of the room. Before he left, he locked eyes with Sylvester giving him a look that said. "We'll fight next time we meet." His Gabite followed behind him.
[attr="class","agar"] he's running late, like he always does. cain has a habit of coming in at the wrong time, especially when it comes to events as important as this. he shows up in a haphazardly put on suit and tie, holding the leftovers of his thai food in his hand.
when he shoves open the door he finds himself with a trainwreck of a room.
the door makes an audible thump as it smacks against the walls inside. there's broken shards of what used to be a glass vase on the floor, a girl keeled on the ground and being led out of the room. pokemon are attacking everywhere. cain stands there, slack jawed for a moment before he finally collects himself enough to actually do something.
half the room's standing up. and they look like they're about to leave. cain's not sure what happened, but he doesn't want to be all alone in this room. plus it's speed dating right? they're supposedd to be meeting a bunch of battle. how's that supposed to go if everybody leaves? he doesn't know what to do, but he's going to at least try and save this mess of a room.
he gives the room a sheepish smile, shoulders hunching as he holds up the take out.
"thai tuesday, anyone?"

[attr="class","pv00"]He wasn’t cut out for this -- not this gala, not this speed dating; not even interacting with other people. Everything about this situation was out of her territory, chipped away at his nerves until all he wanted to do was leave, and if he ruined someone else's good time in the process then so be it. What did he want to do at this moment? He wanted to leave -- he wanted to walk out of those doors and forget this night even happened. He wanted to grab Evan and just leave this gala behind, do something that fell under his comfort zone, that fell under Evans as well so they both could enjoy themselves. But he couldn’t, not yet; not with him still stuck in this room.
How long is this event going to last -- how long had he even been in this room since he was ushered in -- and how many more minutes would it take for someone to come into the room and escort him out for making such a scene. When the first strike is sent forward Noah moves out of the way, skidding his feet against the ground in a quick, awkward step -- and then it’s the second one that gets him. The space is too small with his back against the chair and table he had been pulled up from, another at his side; there was no place to move back. Hes felt worse, he thinks, and compared to those memories he’d take this over that any day -- but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t sting, knocks the breath out of him for a moment as his body cripples over just slightly.
His eyes haven’t left the glare they’ve become so accustomed to since, and when he looks up they’re just slightly different -- more anger, the drowning of amusement under such a simple emotion. Whatever the man was going to attempt next didn’t transpire, and he moved back until he hit the table, leaning against it in silence where he watched the redhead give up and leave.
He wasn’t sorry, he wasn’t in the least bit apologetic over anything he did; that was something he knew for certain. As the door opened his gaze left the floor it had been glued on; he ignored the boy who had walked into the scene, ignored the comment he made to break the tension hanging in the air. His feet pushed him to the door, attempting to get to it before it closed but by the time he reached it the only way out had shut tight. One turn, two; three; four -- each jammed against the lock, each movement of his hand more forceful than the next in hopes of forcing the thing open. Nothing.
“Fuck.”

The day had started off uneventful, the brilliant white and rose and cerulean colors of her roserade mask also dripping into the boring tone with which the party started. Cassandra had called her over, and while their ludicrous day spent together was stupid, she had agreed to come to the event. Of course she needed someone to go with, and since she didn't have anyone to head with she had called on an old friend. But now she was here for the speed dating, which had been the one thing to lighten her up the whole day.
She entered the room the second the vase was thrown, and had been smirking from the doorway ever since. Everything about the conversations that followed were absolutely chaotic, sporadic and all around the exact things she enjoyed in an evening. The only thing she could regret was that she wasn't there to be at the center of it all. Instead there was a short, ugly girl with hair that pissed Leah off to no extent and her equally horrid partner. But they were amusing to watch, so she didn't make a move yet. A cute little girl ran to help the short one, and then punches were sent flying, at which Leah smiled a sadistic one, mirrored only by Darius himself.
She had a glass in her hand that she had carried over from the formal and she sipped it casually, watching the catastrophe with unparalleled glee, the kind you only get at the expense of others. When Cain opened the door she smiled at him and gestured to the whole fiasco with a single finger removed daintily from the glass.
"Thai Tuesday? More like Weed Wednesday- top class entertainment right here."
She watched the man move out of his seat and head towards the door, amber eyes glittering with amusement as the male found himself unable to open the door. "Sorry sweets, looks like we're all stuck." The same sentence applied for the red head that approached the door, two girls in tow.
Leah gave her glass an elegant twirl and lifted it mockingly to Darius. "Cheers, to you, masked knight, slaying the boredom that filled today." It was sarcastic, jeering, and yet it was the truth. The red head deserved a drink, and Leah, as always, knew she deserved to get drunk. She looked sideways at Cain, wondering what he'd make of the situation.
ceddy didn't know what was going on anymore. he had just tuned it all out, all he was focused on was briley. he was glad she chose to ignore the group and focus on them. he smiled when she pulled her chair closer to him.
he might be able to ignore looking at the fiasco but he wasn't able to not hear it. he heard the commotions and it ended up with someone leaving and another not being able to. that was good, at least the fighting stopped for now.
so he switched his attention back to his partner; who was the only reason why he was still here tonight.
"at least they stopped fighting," he snickered. he held her hand in his, soon moving closer to her and giving her a peck on the cheek. maybe they could upset them even more by smooching. yes, that sounds like a lovely plan.
"let's go wild," he whispered, poking her on the cheek to get her to turn. and if she did then he'd give her a full-on kiss on the lips.

DANG UR CUTE

BY MINNIE OF GS
SHEPHERD under table probs - -
She supposed everything was alright, everyone seemed to be handling themselves, at least by what Briley could hear. The commotion had more or less stopped entirely, besides a few choice words here or there. That made her feel a little bit better for not going full ranger mode on the idiots she shared the room with. Luckily she hadn't seen her sister, because otherwise, everyone would probably be dead.
"Yeah, I guess," she mumbled, trying her best to get the nagging feeling of needing to whip out her ranger credentials at any given moment. She found her focus dragged back to Cedric as he took her hand before giving her a peck on the cheek.
Briley promptly looked away to hide the light blush rising to her cheeks, clearing her throat with a small cough. "If we keep acting like this, they're really gonna be pissed," she mumbled.
But at Cedric's response, she rolled her eyes and smiled a little. Of course he'd say that.
When her partner poked her cheek, Briley turned her head to face him, only to find their lips pressing together in a kiss. She wasn't surprised — she kind of expected it. Leaning towards him, Briley raised her hand up just enough to lightly touch the side of his face and deepen the kiss a little bit more. She decided to follow his lead, just this once.
This was real life right now. One by one people were pointing fingers and blame on Noah and the female could only narrow her eyes at the judgment and shortsightedness of those in the room. While Noah was the one that spoke first there were others that did not appreciate the loudness and openness of what had transpired moments ago. It was the duo that ended up spouting insults and vulgar language. This was not much better however but at the least now some wouldn't feel queasy from just the first round. The entire thing honestly appalled her. The fun event was meant to be fun for all and now that it had twisted into a reason to begin fist fighting all Syndra could do to calm herself was tightening the grip on her fists as she walked over to Noah's side. She wanted to leave. There was no longer a point to remain here and pretend to have a good time. Some others might have tried to ignore it but it was affecting everyone. The only reason Syndra was taking a side now was because of obligation to Evan and more prominently now was that all the fingers were pointing to Noah when blame was to be shared equally..
The girl begun recognizing some of the faces the more she looked around. Sylvester having taken off his mask was recognizable as he scolded Noah to which for the most part the angry man ignored. Cain appeared at the doorway walking in late as well. Wishing he had actually held the door open so they could leave, she was distracted by the attacks on Noah. Surprisingly Noah had not fought back and instead headed towards the door. With that everyone still acted like the duo were the victims here and that Noah was to blame her mind only reeled through several thoughts as she followed. When they got there she found that even with Noah's brute strength he was unable to yank open the door. "Oh no," she grumbled which wouldn't be audible with the rest of the noise around them to which she now tuned out altogether. She didn't want to have spheal break the door down so she found herself having to wait the rest of the time out.
Now Spheal was a cute pokemon and only following orders so he was rather oblivious as to the tension in the room. when the Snivy threatened the ice type he gave a cooing sound that sounded as if he didn't much mind the situation. He'd defend his trainer and her friend from attack but he himself would not attack the Snivy or the trainers with it. Spheal was respectable enough in that regard and would only fight if Syndra had ordered it. Disappointed at what transpired the female shook her head as she spoke lowly enough for only Noah. "Another three minutes. Let's just go to the other side of the room and try to deal with it. Then you can rant to Evan." Evan. More mentions of him meant maybe more calm on Noah.
If it had been you that he beat to a bloody pulp, if he had taken you from this world, I would've done nothing but search the planet for this pathetic pile of evil death-worshiping garbage and sent him off to hell.
❞
How was it that he got dragged into this again? Something about keeping things low key? Show the world your you face - Ironically enough while wearing a mask - and make sure to definitely not give away his magma ties? Well, that was easy enough. Though the man was out of his element; he never did do well with formalities and he never liked being cooped up in any given area for any given amount of time but the prospect of meeting someone, maybe taking it elsewhere afterward - well, he wouldn't say he despised the thought.
The man wore a simple tuxedo, white and black with a long black tie stretching down his chest, tucked nicely away in his jacket. He wore a white button up, with black pants with a nice pair of dress shoes. Adorning his face was not his normal red helmet, but instead a black houndoom mask, the sides of the mask curved at the bottom like horns with points in the center of the mask, mimicking their point of origin. Entering the room, he noticed that their had been plenty of people; He rocognized one person, though she wouldn't have the slightest clue as to who he was, and without further ado his eyes moved on. The people, all of which were seated seemed to be enjoying themselves. It had only taken him a moment, but he found his seat.
Finally making his way over, he took note of the woman's long green hair paired with the dragonair mask. His houndour, who had been trotting along with the man, barked quietly beside his trainer. Jeremy nodded in agreement. No reason to complain, at least. With a big smile, the man sat down and with a resound, confident tone he introduced himself. "A pleasure, my names Jeremy." His hand raised, offering it to the his partner in this entire fiasco. Houndour, on the other hand, kept his eyes forward, looking toward the spheal who had been sitting across from him
Penelope made her way slowly into the room filled with tables and tucked her hands slowly into the tiny loops of her jumpsuit. She hadn't gotten done up yet, and was only here to scope out the place... But speed-dating had seemed fun, and maybe she would get some good intelligence on the people she was looking for.
Walking up to the man in the blue checked shirt and khakis, she sat down slowly and gave him a polite smile, holding out her hand. "You must be William. I'm Penelope." She smiled even more, before tucking some of her hair behind her ear.
"Sorry if I'm under dressed. I have a way better outfit for the gala, I promise." Penelope laughed. It was true, but she was hoping to save it until last minute. It wasn't even like the person who had invited her in the first place was even here...
[attr="class","pv00"]There was nothing he wanted to say, nothing he wanted to do other than leave this room, this dance -- the city itself and if possible the region. He hated it here. Everything was going wrong, becoming something he wasn’t even sure of; and he simply stood there, watching it all turn and spin without knowing his position in all of it. This type of adventure wasn’t cut out for him, this type of situation wasn’t in his comfort zone. He cursed once more, whispering the single word under his breath as he turned the knob again; once more and then another. Each time it was met with a loud noise, jamming against the lock that wouldn’t budge no matter how many times he shook and pushed. He wasn’t going to be able to leave, that much was obvious; at least not until someone opened the door from the outside.
If only he had been faster -- if only he had gotten to the door before it had closed; than he would have been able to leave now instead of later. How long did he have to be here? When did they end this stupid speed dating and let them loose; and why in gods name would they lock them in a room just for this. His eyes stared at the knob within his grasp, wanting nothing more than to watch it slowly turn in his grasp to signal everything was over. He could hear the comments, the accusations and snide remarks made to him by the rest of the party -- could hear the way someone states how they were all stuck here together, comments about the fight; about how he had did something wrong. His hand drops, falls to his side as he clicks his tongue. He didn’t care about these people nor the comments they so openly made about the turn of events early in the event; all he cared about was leaving.
The Poochyena who had been quieted circled the table its trainer had once sat at, eyeing the people around the room with a snarl curling its lips. She didn’t like seeing her trainer get attacked, nor was she much of a fan towards the yelling happening during the scene. When she had been told to still she had obeyed, sat back to the floor until her trainer had been shoved up. She didn’t attack -- wanted to -- and growled towards the redhead until Noah had left so she could follow.
The voice has his eyes looking to the side where the girl had walked to, staring at her for a moment before returning his gaze somewhere else. “I don’t need your sympathy. Just because the whole room hates me doesn’t mean you need to hang around.” he said, lifting his hand to try the knob one more time before abandoning the idea all together. “It’s not like you owe it to me or Evan to make sure I don’t ruin this thing even more.” He’s about to turn, to walk off somewhere else in the room and ignore the people around the room, to find some place to leave from without simply destroying the door in the process, and he notices the man walk to. It’s not towards him but to Syndra and it’s the fact that everything that had happened, the sheer atmosphere around the room, that had been ignored is what makes his eyes narrow.
What was wrong with everyone here. “Really…” he mutters, staring at the man before rolling his eyes, grabbing the girl by her arm, pulling her with him away from what probably was her supposive date for the evening. He doesn’t even look back as he moves, catches sight of a few windows one end of the room and heads towards it. “If you want to go back and chat with him you can,” he says, letting go of her arm as he continued to move.

Bunny nearly began to scold the boy that helped Andrea to her feet, about to say something about her needing to rest, but realized that he must have had some plan to get them away from any sort of possible fights. Standing up, she motioned for Diana to follow as they moved away from the area. She didn't exactly know where they were going in the room, but wherever it was she hoped it would be far away from all the mean people. Andrea didn't need to be around that, especially if they were so loud.
"Th-thanks," she mumbled to Darius, walking on Anread's other side and gently rubbing the parts of her face that weren't cut or bloody. Her hands eventually drifted down to her friend's shoulders, hoping to help in anyways possible.
Post by Sylvester Blackburne on Jul 8, 2015 0:33:24 GMT
No matter how much Sylvester wanted to hold Noah back so he could be struck by Darius, he couldn't bring himself to behave like a hypocrite. Instead, after accessing that Noah had no remorse for what he had done, Sylvester went back to sit where he was assigned to be. 'No use bringing about the inevitable.' Noah had what was coming to him.
"This is hopeless...time for some music." He said plugging in his earbuds, though leaving one of his ears uncovered so he could still hear what was going on. Switching through his favorite tunes via his phone, Sylvester simply waited for everyone to gradually settle down. Eventually, they would all be given a new partner and then things just might go as planned. 'Maybe...' All Sylvester was left to do now was hope to each and every god that Noah was sent to a different room. If Andrea was forced to leave, that would be rather upsetting, though at least the problem would be solved.
Even still, Sylvester didn't want to be near anyone like that. Having standards was one thing, but exacting your own punishment for those who didn't live up to it was unsightly. The one who should have been bloodied had lucked out. For a time...
"i'll be fine, baby. yer here. aren't ya? that's all i need," she drawled, blinking tiredly in bunny's direction as she spoke. "and valentine here, too, yeah?"
their attempt at taking leave of the room was met by disappointment. the doors were stuck tight, and andrea was left feeling ultimately uncomfortable by the idea of being trapped within the confines of this room. especially when she wasn't feeling too hot. she found some comfort in hearing mister 'i'm better than everyone else here' get criticized by a couple of people who had witnessed his actions against her.
"yo. let's just... let's just fuckin' sit over there. in the corner. i don't want nothin' ta do with this shit. and my head hurts."
the girl wanted to lay down. clean herself up a bit afterward, and maybe snuggle with bunny for a good while.
"imma lay my head down fer a bit."
after she had darius help her toward an unoccupied table, she sat down heavily and sighed. resting her forehead against the cool and thin cloth that had been draped over the tabletop, she muttered mostly to herself.
"just my fuckin' luck. 'course i'd make a show out of this shit."
snivy cast the spheal a glare before giving up, realizing that there was no use in trying to rile the lax pokemon. he returned to his mistress's side, his expression revealing his concern. he settled near the gabite and the dratini, peering up at the evolved among the two before releasing a sigh of his own as he leaned against darius's companion.
The angry male's words struck a chord through the green haired female but she merely shrugged off his statement. He may have meant that or he might not have. The female stood by his side regardless of that. Noah made it a point to make it clear that she held no obligations to the duo and to that she raised a brow. "Now who thinks they're so high and mighty," she said with a hint of sarcasm as she scoffed into a smirk. If he had done something truly unforgivable than that would be another story. This was not unforgivable and allowing herself to back down wasn't her style just like she figured that apologizing wasn't Noah's.
Among the heated moment and the strained Syndra, the young woman almost didn't notice that the person paired with her had managed to approach her. He had to be or else why else would he have talked to her at this moment? Giving the new person a quick look through she parted her lips to return the introduction. Taking his hand in a gentle handshake she replied, "Syndra. Sorry about all-" without being able to finish there was a sudden tug on her arm that pulled her away from the masked Houndoom. Noah spoke first as he let go giving her the okay to continue talking to the mystery man. Was he... concerned? Obviously something had caught Noah's eye and sighing through tightened lips she followed the angry male to make sure he didn't do anything stupid. Or at least anything more stupid.
However, truth be told, the moment he walked through that door he felt the overwhelming urge to turn around and leave again. In fact, the only thing that stopped him from doing so was the Litwick behind him impatiently bumping into him to get him to move. She wasn’t often let out of her pokeball to intermingle, and to heck she was going to miss her chance at doing so.
Sam swept a hand through his hair, exasperation the apparent expression right now as the noise of the room suddenly filled his ears. Even moreso when he heard a vase shatter, making him instinctively yelp in surprise and look around the room. Who’s bright idea was it to gather a bunch of hormonal teens and young adults together in a tightly enclosed space was beyond him. That idea wasn’t even good on paper. The idea could drive him to drink, if the elephant in the room didn’t do it first.
The only thing he wanted to do really was find a place to sit and monitor what he should do. A few people looked as though they were trying to head towards the door, and he laughed sarcastically to himself. His Litwick gave him odd looks, and he shrugged towards her. A groan escaped him shortly after, followed somewhat with a “can we not.” under his breath.
He stopped and turned on the balls of his feet, manuvering around the crowd once again. He spoke loud enough to be heard, and looked around to see why no one – not even the freaking manager had been in to deal with whoever had thrown that in the first place. “Andrea! You okay?” He asked from a small distance, and his Litwick was hovering around his head and making wild gestures. “I just get here and people are already conspiring to burn the building down.” He said again with a loud sigh and a roll of his eyes. He took note of a few other happenings, but the only thing he was ultimately concerned of was whether the only person in the room he actually knew was okay. Wisp was cocking her head around and growing anxious herself, letting out a few chatter-like noises in the process.
